Rust Never Sleeps

Join me to photograph over 40 acres of cars, trucks and more at Old Car City USA. On this workshop, we will have access to Old Car City for two days, where we will explore this unique landmark and shooting as much as we can. I will be teaching you to look for details and textures among the rusting relics using close-up and HDR photography techniques.

In the evenings, we will hold short classroom sessions to review images and learn processing techniques to further enhance our images.

The collection at Old Car City lends itself to a variety of techniques, but for this workshop, we're going to primarily focus on closeups and HDR, because those techniques are perfect for this location. I'll also teach you creative processing including HDR tone-mapping and other texture-enhancing treatments with software.

Maximum Group Size: 15 photographers

What to bring

• DSLR or interchangeable lens camera

• Standard mid-range zoom lens (a 24-120mm would be perfect here)

• Macro lens (optional, but ideal for getting in close)

• Super wide or fisheye lens for creative interior shots

• Tripod & ball-head

• Polarizing filter

• Laptop computer with editing software (to learn processing techniques)

Instructional Fee
The fee for this workshop is $399 field and classroom instruction with Jason Odell. Lodging, meals and transportation are not included in the workshop fee.

Group HotelI have arranged for discounted lodging at the nearby Clarion Inn in White, GA, where we will conduct classroom sessions in the evenings. Participants will be sent lodging details after registering for the workshop.
