Learn to light-paint!
We'll take night shooting to the next level at Garden of the Gods. I'll bring all the lightpainting gear, including spotlights, gels, etc. All you need is your camera and a tripod. Any camera will work, provided that you can set up long exposures (10-30seconds).
We'll start in the main park and paint some of the formations with the idea being dramatic skies and red rocks. Depending on how ambitious we get, we'll also head over to the Siamese Twins formation and paint it, too.
What you need :
DSLR or other camera with manual exposure modes Standard Zoom Lens (24-70mm or similar) Tripod Remote release (optional but highly recommended) Small flashlight or headlamp (for hiking). Hiking boots or approach shoes Who should come:
Photographers of all levels who don't mind a little night hiking and want to learn about light-painting. You should be able to carry your gear up modest inclines, but we aren't going to be doing any strenuous hiking.
Due to the logistics of lightpainting in a group, this class is limited to five (5) participants. We'll start after sunset and finish by 11pm.
Tuition and Fees
This workshop has a tuition of $129/person.
