Step into another world in South Dakota. Here, you'll be able to perfect the fundamentals and explore fine-art landscape photography techniques. On this trip, you'll be treated to some amazing sunrises and sunsets, wildflowers, and rock formations that could be mistaken for the moon. You'll get instruction on HDR, panoramas, and digital black & white conversions. Bring your laptop, as each student receives on on-one image critique and review during the class.
When: June 10-14, 2012
Where: Wall, South Dakota
Nearest Airport: Rapid City, SD (RAP), about 1.5 hours drive from Wall.
Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet in hotel lobby at 2pm for orientation, followed by evening shooting session
Day 2: Sunrise shooting session / Mid-day classroom sessions on HDR and Monochrome Processing/ Evening Shooting
Day 3: Sunrise shooting session/ Mid-day shooting at Prairie Homestead Historic Site. Evening shooting session.
Day 4: Sunrise shooting session. Evening Image Review and Critique Session/ Evening Shooting TBD
Day 5: Depart for home
