Voting System - How movies are chosen

Why are we watching THAT movie?
An explanation of the Javaflix voting system

At every Javaflix, attendees vote on 5 pre-selected films to be the next Javaflix. The members are shown one 5 minute edited trailer showcasing the 5 films. Each person then gets 5 stones to place in jars. Each jar has the name of each movie on it. Attendees use their 5 stones to vote on which film they would like to see at Javaflix. Any combination of stones can be used - one in each, all five in one, or anything in between.

There is also an opportunity for members to "write in" suggestions. These write ins will then be considered to be added for the next voting period.
