While I'm still not completely sold on CoffeScript, I'm a lot more sold than I expected to be. Terrible product names aside, it looks like it could be a useful language in certain situations. I'll have to get more familiar to know which situations, but Adam did mention some suggestions that I regret not writing down.
Presentation was very good, Adam kept it at a high level with some background about the project, some live demos and some good anecdotes about how he has used the language and a few lessons learned.
As for people complaining about the start time of the presentation, food and networking is a major component of this type of event and if you expect a bunch of developers to all show up on time for a meeting after the work day, you probably don't know many developers. The presentation did exactly what the description said and finished before the advertised time of 8:30, so publicly cursing out the organizers makes you sound childish.

If you list a starting time of 6:30, then start the fucking presentation at 6:30, not 7:15.
