Ext.js

We have two speakers to give an introduction to Ext.js:

Roland Swingler will give a general introduction to ExtJS, tell you what he thinks its strengths and weaknesses are, delve into the various layers of abstraction it has for data stores and maybe talk a little bit about how he uses it with Rails at notonthehighstreet.com.

Lucian Lature will take us through working with events using ExtJS. We will study the event handler implementation, the event handler API design, and how to manage events with Observable. He'll also introduce writing your own custom events for your application. He will cover all the important aspects of event handling in ExtJS (event names normalisation, easy event registration and removal, differences across the browsers, mask the complexities of event bubbling, accessibility, IE memory leaks, etc).
