Jeffrey P. Dziob, 38, of Bristol, beloved husband of Melissa (Amenta) Dziob, died from injuries sustained from an accident in Bristol on Sunday, December 27, 2009. Jeffrey was born in Hartford on December 5, 1971 and was a son of Sharon (Palmer) Dziob Young and her husband Gary of Cave Creek, AZ and the late Edward Dziob. He grew up in Southington where he was a graduate of Southington High School in 1990 and Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2005. He moved to Bristol in 1996, and was employed by the Bristol Post Office. He was a great loving father, the best husband anyone could ask for, and was loved by everyone. In addition to his wife and mother, Jeffrey is survived by his loving children, Nathan and Abigail Dziob of Bristol; a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Trish Dziob of Southington; a sister, Alicia Dziob of New Britain; paternal grandparents, Peter and Olga Zygma of Bristol; stepmother, Ann Dziob of New Britain; nieces and nephews, Joshua and Emily Dziob, Kayla and Anthony Amenta, and Brianna and Taylor Dojan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sal and Sue Amenta of Bristol; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Pamela Amenta of Bristol; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lisa and Robert Velarde of Summerville, SC; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 31, 2009, 10 a.m. at St. Gregory Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeffrey’s memory to The Dziob Children Scholarship Fund c/o New England Bank, 888 Farmington Ave., Bristol, CT 06010.
