Hi

this meetup group is for people interested in jazz, blues, impro and styles from mainstream to left of field.

Hopefully it will cover a wide range of music, (I am working on the principle that you can't please all the people all the time, so am offering lots of tasters in the hope that eventually I'll get to something you like) or I am happy to take on any suggestions, particularly if you want to host them.

Its for people who have an interest in these styles of music, want to know about things that are happening and sometimes can't convince their friends and family to go along (I know mine aren't always too keen to see the things I am going to).

Or it could be a place to find out about gigs. Everyone that comes along doesn't always hang out with us, sometimes we just say hi during the evening. It's whatever suits you.

I am hoping that we can go to a range of places from perhaps the Basement, Sound Lounge, Opera House, as well as exploring spaces as I hear about them, some legal and some not. For example I went to a performance in someone's home the other evening (which was totally awesome, the People's Palace) - maybe we can find more of secret Sydney.

So I guess a musical adventure, exploring new places, visiting some we like already, hopefully hearing some great music and having the opportunity to hang out with like minded people.
