Discussion: Programming 3D Applications by Tony Parisi

Details
As browsers become more powerful, our users are coming to expect more visually complex and engaging experiences. Some of the most impressive effects can come from appropriate use of 3D animation, taking advantage of the newest features in HTML5 and the power of WebGL. So we thought it was a good time to take a look at how these tools and techniques can factor into our own web applications today.
We'll be reading Tony Parisi's new book, Programming 3D Applications with HTML5 and WebGL (http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920029205.do). It takes the reader from the basics through some of the latest patterns and frameworks, and discusses both how and when to use them.
Note: We're pushing the date of this meeting back a week to August 11 to accommodate the schedule of the author, Tony Parisi. We're excited that Tony plans to join us to discuss his book with the group, so read well, and prepare some interesting questions!
Looking forward to another lively discussion!
