Rendr is a small library that allows you to run your Backbone.js apps seamlessly on both the client and the server. Spike Brehm, who developed Rendr for Airbnb, will start off by talking about the impetus for the project and an overview of how it works. Josh Callender and Mark Dimas will then discuss why Change.org chose Rendr for their new frontend web application. We'll cover how it met our initial requirements, and talk about some of the more complicated scenarios we've had to solve and the additions to Rendr we've made along the way.

The SF JavaScript Meetup is committed to maintaining an inclusive, harassment-free atmosphere. Attendees, speakers and sponsors must all abide by our Code of Conduct (http://confcodeofconduct.com/). Please do not spam the group with job postings/contact info in the comments or bring collateral to the events.
