Welcome, Omaha Writers!

Who says writing has to be a solitary activity? This full-service writing support group is for Omaha writers of all areas and levels of experience who need help keeping their focus, working through the tough scenes, and just finding a place and time to sit down and work.

This is a casual group that meets weekly. Come when you can, when you need to, or all the time if you want to make it a habit. We spend time socializing, sharing progress, bouncing ideas off of one another, and reading each others work. Most of the meetups are working meetups where we get together but spend the evening writing and editing our own work.

We also have Workshop meetups that are designed to help each other become better writers, get ideas, break through writing blocks and discuss common pitfalls of writing and the publishing industry. If you’re looking for people to read and offer feedback on your work, these meetups will be most helpful for you.

There are no rules for who can or cannot participate, or to what extent anyone has to participate. Everyone is welcome every time. How much time you put into the group will reflect in how much you get out of it, and everyone’s needs are different.
