Welcome to the Kalamazoo Activity Enthusiasts meetup group. If you are active or want to be, are happy in the sun/snow, and have a get up and go attitude - rain or shine- climb aboard.

Our activities have included hiking on local trails, visiting state parks, kayaking, camping, down hill skiing, participating in running events ranging from 5ks to 1/2 Marathons, tubing, biking, bowling, team trivia, Art Hops, socializing over dinner and drinks at local restaurants/bars as well as any other social activity that you can imagine. We also enjoy getting involved in the occasional quirky get together, like the Battle Creek Mustache Society's winter cardboard sled race, chili cook off and ugly sweater contest. Since the range, interests, and humour of this group is large and dynamic, we love hearing your ideas for meetups. So if you have any ideas, please don't be shy - you can either post a suggestion on the homepage or email any of the organizers of this group with details and a request to post the event.

We do not have many requirements of this group. Every age group is welcome, and we hold no expectations on attendance. Our only serious request, is that you update your rsvps in a reasonable amount of time, and let the organizer or host of the event know if there are any last minute changes in your plans or ability to attend. Typically, we operate on a 15 minute grace period for our meetups - but do want to know if your status has changed as a courtesy and for safety reasons.

In terms of financial requirements, membership is free; however we do ask for occasional donations (usually a dollar per month) to help with the administrative cost to Meetup.  The cost associated with attending most events is typically fairly low or free.

The group always looks forward to meeting new people ~ so don't be shy about coming out to events or reaching out to organizers to get oriented with the group and what we offer. We have several organizers, and the team is always happy to hear about new meetup ideas, to involve more people in putting together events, and to tell you more about an upcoming outing. We look forward to seeing you soon~
