Work Week Wind-down Paddle

Let's take a nice easy paddle up the Ohio River from the Westhall Street access. We'll at least go to the confluence & back, with a possibility of heading up the Allegheny a bit further if the group desires.

You will need your own kayak & equipment for this as there are no nearby rentals.

We should be back before dark but feel free to bring a light for your boat.

I don't know much about what's in that area but considering that I have to drive 45 miles north after the paddle I'd hope to find something in that neighbourhood or slightly northward of there.

Do you know of a place where my kayak can be stored while I'm at work? Is it a tough paddle against the current?

    July 23, 2013

Can you lock your yak on your roof rack at work? I use a cable bike lock to secure mine to the roof rails. The current shouldn't be bad- the river is pretty low & slow right now; the upstream wind will probably be more than the current

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
