This is one of my favorite night paddles. We meet at the large boat ramp(closest to rte 19) and paddle to the dam, and then return past the boat ramp and paddle to the remote area where we usually see a lot of wildlife. Plan to paddle for about 2 hours total, and then we drive a short distance to Canonsburg where we will have reserved parking at my office, and 1/2 block away is Octoberfest. They are expecting 40,000 - 50,000 people this weekend. This used to be held at Station Square and was moved to Canonsburg about 10 years ago.We can sample some wonderful German brews and eat great food, and enjoy live music. If you arrive later than 6:00, just look to your right and you will see us going to or coming from the Dam, so you can still join us if you are late. Since it will be getting close to dusk it is a good idea to have a light with you. If you are a beginner and need paddling tips, please be there at 6:00. PDF's are required. There is a bathroom at the lake, and there is a bathroom at my office you need to change. This is always a fun night.
Canonsburg Lake is about 1/2 mile south of Donaldson's Crossroads in McMurray as you head south on Rte 19. The lake is on your right and is located behind Damon's (which is now closed)
If you think you may need my cell #, please e-mail me and request.
Note time of departure is 6:00 p.m.. so you need to arrive before that to unload boat and be ready to go. But if late you will still be able to join us since we will be visible on the lake and will be returning back past the loading ramp.
