Being a driven, results-focused professional, I like and seek all kinds of activities and professional opportunities. I play the drums (in my basement), work on my model train layout, enjoy real social interaction, like to share my knowledge and experiences with anyone in need.
Around 2000, then the support/developer for www.orgsites.com died from a massive heart attack, I felt taking on the support/developer position as a pro-bono activity would be the perfect way to learn and focus my web development skills.
Code base appears to be robust, supported by 1000's+ of other developers and is just easier and less "clunky" than .Net.
Learn how to incorporate more 3rd party APIs, jQuery, JS, CSS, etc., into the current templates/coding for the site I maintain.
Currently searching for a PHP developer/maintenance programmer for a local KC area company. My skills (aka "toolbox") are broad and extensive from the age old COBOL to the QA/Testing (outside the box thinker).
