Eric Metaxas speaks on Dietrich Bonhoeffer – Meet the author

This is very exciting and an amazing opportunity to hear and meet the author of one of the most inspirational books on our 9/12 Project reading list. Eric Metaxas is the author of Bonhoeffer and he will be in central Kentucky next week. If you are not aware of Bonhoeffer’s story you must come and hear about a real hero and martyr, if you have heard or read this book I know you will be there to learn more and meet the author in person.

Wednesday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m. Eric Metaxas will speak on Dietrich Bonhoeffer at Tates Creek Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Kentucky.  The lecture, hosted by Trinity Christian Academy.  To make reservations, call Anne Briggs at [masked] free and open to the public

Eric Metaxas is the 2011 recipient of the Canterbury Medal awarded by the Becket Fund for Religious Freedom. Previous medalists include Archbishop Charles Chaput and Elie Wiesel. He has written for Veggie Tales and has authored numerous best selling books. Metaxas is most well know to us and the audience of Glenn Beck as the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller, Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy, which was recently named “Book of the Year” by the ECPA. Bonhoeffer has often been highlighted on Glenn and is on the 9/12 Project must read list. This book won the 2011 John C. Pollock Award for Biography awarded by Beeson Divinity School and a 2011 Christopher Award in the Non-fiction category. Called a “biography of uncommon power,” Bonhoeffer appeared on numerous 2010 “Best of the Year” lists and was featured in the Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, The New Republic, Harper’s, Kirkus (starred review), NPR, FoxNews, C-SPAN’s Book TV, Christianity Today, The Weekly Standard, and First Things.
