County for a special dinner at the Doubletree Hotel in Torrance featuring Michael Ramirez, America's Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial Conservative cartoonist and author of the new book, “Everyone Has the Right to My Opinion.” And, introducing actor Elya Baskin, whose recent credits include the Russian Terrorist “Kolchak” in Air Force One, Angels & Demons, The Dukes, and Spiderman 3.

Saving Our Economy - Part 2

In last month’s newsletter we featured the first in a series of articles by the Ownership Society Institute (OSI) about their Rise Up America Plan (RUA). The plan has been designed to change the way the United States government works in a manner that will substantially increase the material wealth of the nation and each individual as well as their social well-being. The series is authored by Dick McDonald (DM).
LACA: When we left off last month you only had a chance to answer a couple of our questions. The RUA plan is so comprehensive and such a departure from business as usual what can we look forward to learning.
DM: Over the next few months we will cover how RUA can solve many social and economic problems such as income disparity, corporate governance, women’s economic emancipation, endemic poverty, etc. as well as the mechanics of how to implement the plan and what kind of an effort it will require.
