Sass and other CSS pre-processors are beyond buzz - it's now an essential skill. If you're not running your code through a pre-processor, it's time to start.

This talk by Tim Palac will focus on setting up Sass, basics on what it provides you, and methods to replace your existing processes. We'll specifically address making media queries, nested classes, starter styles, and integration with CSS frameworks.

My only complaints: too fast for me to take notes (after mentions of Scout and Compass); plus networking all too brief (partially my fault for being ill). My previous Sass encounter was at a MeetUp a couple years ago, wherein my only takeaway was finally getting to use variables with CSS; this time I was presented with object-oriented concepts which I am much quicker to grasp nowadays. Like anything else, Sass looks like something I could do if I had the resources to do it every day.
