Magento Security from A to Z

It’s a new year. A new beginning. And a new Magento.

We are happy to announce our next LA Magento Meetup will be held at the Magento HQ. A Senior Product Manager will be speaking about the recent security vulnerabilities experienced by merchants and actions being taken by Magento team combating such cases.

Presentation will cover importance of security; types of attacks; Magento’s plan of actions; responsibilities of store owners and developers; and solutions when all else fails.

This talk will be presented by Piotr Kaminski. Piotr is a Senior Product Manager with over 10 years hands-on programming experience and software product management. He is currently responsible overseeing security features of Magento and devising immediate action plans whenever vulnerabilities are encountered. Piotr was the first employee of Varien Inc. before it was rebranded as Magento; and he was present when the first line of Magento’s code was written.

As for parking, there is a lot on Virginia Ave and Jordan Way. It’s free after 6pm so all guests can park there vs the street. There’s a map attached for better reference.
