Haskell Shell Scripting with Turtle

Abstract:

Do you find yourself wishing that you could rather do your quick & dirty shell scripts as beautifully type-checked Haskell command-line executables instead?

Let's play with the Turtle library to see how we can do this:

Bio:

Andreas started Lambda Luminaries in 2011 in order to:

1. Trick people that are way smarter than him to share their functional programming knowledge,

2. thereby becoming adequately smart himself

3. and ultimately taking over the world.

By all accounts he succeeded in accomplishing the first point but still managed to fail dismally at points 2 and 3.

During the day he writes Scala for a FinTech company. Every once in a while he gets to play with Haskell at night.
