Mobile Camp is taking place in downtown this Thursday.
We have an excellent group of presenters from Adobe, BlackBerry, Microsoft, Facebook, Yahoo! and more.
We will have 2 PhoneGap experts; they are Cordova core contributors with Apache: Michael Brooks, formerly of Nitobi now with Adobe, and Gord Tanner, formerly of Tiny Hippos now with Research in Motion. Tiggzi will also be presenting; they use PhoneGap to build mobile apps in the cloud with less code - which means rapid, cross-platform app development with APIs.
The complete schedule is available at http://mobilecampla.com/schedule.html.
Some workshops are being led by your fellow user group members covering Unity3D, Sencha, augmented reality, native iOS and Android development. Yes, we do have a strong coding program yet we have an equally strong UI and UX component as well covering SASS/LESS, UI frameworks, UX Design and a UX Workshop. To round this off, we have 3 business sessions that will help you finance and sell you mobile software and succeed in business. If you like gaming, we have a full day of gaming sessions on 3D WebGL, Adobe Flash, native gaming and HTML5 gaming. Microsoft will be presenting on the opportunities of Windows 8 applications on tablets and desktops.
The camp would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, especially and including, Lunar Pages web hosting, Immersionhaptics, Tiggzi, Wireless Industry Partnership, AppBackr and, of course, Adobe and BlackBerry.
Please take a second to look over the complete schedule http://mobilecampla.com/schedule.html.
If you decide to come, we know you will find that it was well worth your time and effort. Please know that Mobile Camp is the only mobile development conference-style event happening in Southern California. Hope you can make it! George and Josue
I got a lot out of it. And...the funny thing is...I just signed up to the meet up group the night before. WHAT A GREAT INTRODUCTION~
October 22
Some of the talks were very good, but the venue not so good. It became very difficult to tell when and where a talk was to be given. One talk that was supposed to be on PhoneGap turned out to be a guy promoting his business.

Stay connected with Mobile Camp on Twiiter @mobilecamp and on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/M...
The mobile camp organizers and myself are working hard to let every tech centric developer, designer and entrepreneur know about this event. If you know some one who wants to make an app? Let them know mobile camp is here to help. - Josue

Hi Everyone!, Im From Argentina, I will be in LA at the end of oct. I want to arrange some meetings there to establish business opportunities. Most of all in production, as most of you might know, Development in Argentina is really cheap and powerful. I manage a dev's team reaching great apps, and I can get even more if it's necessary. By the way, we are a little away from the place where things occur, and here Mobile Dev is still a new thing. If some of you recognize this oportunity and want to hear more. Just contact me at [masked]
