What other, non-dog-related activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

running, biking, swimming, rollerblading, skiing, hiking, gardening, home decorating, silk floral design

What is your dog's breed, name, sex, and age?

CASSIE - female yellow lab; 6 years old (as of 7/1/2011) ALLY SUE - female silver lab; 1 year/7 months (as of 11/25/2011)

What types of activities do you enjoy most with your dog?

hiking, swimming, daily walks, fetch (with sticks or balls) - we take two "dog trips" per year--one to the lake for swimming & one to the woods for hiking & off-leash fun!

What area(s) of Pittsburgh are most convenient for you to attend meetups? Downtown/North Shore? East End? South Hills? North Hills? Western Suburbs? Allegheny Valley? Mon Valley?

downtown/north shore (our home!)

What's the silliest (craziest, most destructive, most idiotic) thing your dog has ever done?

cassie ate over 40 oz of imported dark chocolate while at my parents' house (my dad had hit it under the sofa) & that accident cost me about $2,000. ally sue, generally speaking, is a clown....so just about everything she does is in some way idiotic. however, i will say that more recently she ate almost a whole piece of "fall berry garland" that i had purchased for the cake table at my wedding. i thought one of our cats did it b/c they typically eat dried & real florals...until i started seeing the berries come out in her piles. fortunately i had 3 other strands of garland & the fourth was just the "extra, in case..."

Introduction

I am a large-breed dog lover who has two labs of my own--Cassie (quintessential yellow lab) and Ally (silver). We love to do outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming and lots of walking.
