This week we had a number of new folks who would like to code a long while we are discussing Objects On Rails. To get folks up to speed with tools (github, RVM, etc.) we decided to spend the first hour of this week's session getting everyone up and running - installing git, rails, sqlite, discussing how to use github, git, gems, RVM, etc. Please RSVP so I'll have some idea of who is coming. Hopefully we will have a good balance between folks who need help and those who can offer assistance.

Even if you can't make it to the weekly meetings, you are welcome to
join the discussion on the LA Ruby Study Group list: http://groups.google.com/group/laruby-books/

We are taking time out to get folks set up so they can code along at home if they want to. If you already have experience setting up Ruby On Rails, using GitHub, then you can help out whoever needs help. Otherwise, you can just come along and absorb what you can wrt setup, etc.
