Latinas en Phoenix es un grupo, como su nombre lo indica, para mujeres Latinas o Hispanas que viven en el área de Phoenix, estamos basadas en el norte de la ciudad así que la mayoría de encuentros serán en Phoenix, Desert Ridge, Cave Creek, Deer Valley, Scottsdale, Glendale y Peoria;  pero eres bienvenida, sin importar donde vivas o de donde seas, la única condición es que hables español.

Este grupo es fundado por mi mama y yo, yo estoy en mis 30s, estoy casada, trabajo tiempo completo y tengo una nena de dos (casi tres) anos.  Mi mami esta en sus 50s, es soltera y esta entre semana en la casa cuidando a mi nena, así sin importar si eres soltera, casada, si tienes hijos pequeños, nunca has tenido o ya se fueron de la casa, este grupo tiene espacio para ti.

Principalmente tendremos tres tipos de actividades:

1.       Actividades con los hijos: (al parque, al zoológico, a museos, paseos, o en la casa), la idea que los niños tengan amiguitos que hablen español.

2.       Solo mujeres: salidas a bailar, al cine, a comer, etc.

3.       La familia entera: serán mas esporádicas, pero esperamos hacer algo con toda la familia al menos  una vez al año.

La idea es conocernos, divertirnos y hacer amistades duraderas pues como dice el adagio, vale más amigo cercano que hermano lejano.

Las actividades inicialmente las organizaremos los fines de semana, o por las noches, para tener en cuenta a todas las que trabajamos, pero si en el futuro hay varias que quieran durante el día entre semana pues también podemos organizar algo.

REGLAS DEL GRUPO

1) Por favor pon una foto tuya (no de tu mascota o tu paisaje favorito) para poder reconocerte.

2) Si ninguna de las actividades se acomoda a tu horario o a tu ubicación, puedes sugerir alguna actividad, así no quedas excluida.

3) Acuérdate de reservar (RSVP), tanto Si, como No.  Y llega temprano o a tiempo.

4) Si bien el grupo es de Latinas, todas vivimos en los EEUU, así que por favor guárdate los malos comentarios sobre este país o su gente nativa para otras oportunidades.

Latinas in Phoenix as its name indicates, is ​​a group for Latina or Hispanic women living in the Phoenix area, we are based in the northern Phoenix so most events will be hosted in Phoenix, Desert Ridge, Cave Creek, Deer Valley, Scottsdale, Glendale and Peoria, but you are welcome, no matter where you live or who you are, the only condition is that you speak Spanish.
This group was founded by my mother and I, we both were born and raised in Colombia, I'm a married,  full time working mommy of a two (almost three) year-old toddler.  My mom is single, in her 50s and she’s a business manager and a lawyer by trade but she’s a stay-home grandma for now since she just moved to the US and she’s learning English.

So whether you're single, married, if you have small children, if you never had or have if they already left home, this group has space for you.

We will host mainly we have three types of activities:

1. Activities with the children: (at the park, zoo, museums, walks, or at home), the idea that children have playmates who speak Spanish.

2. Women only activities: Ladies night out, happy hours, hiking, dancing, movies, eating out, etc.

3. Activities for the whole family:  These ones will be more sporadic, but we hope to do something with the whole family at least once a year.

The idea is to get to know each other, have fun and make everlasting friendships, because as the saying goes, a friend who lives close is worth more than a sibling far away.

We will initially organize activities on weekends or at night, to take into account of all us who work, but if in the future there are several members that wish to have activities during the week we can organize something.

GROUP RULES:

1.       Please post a photo of yourself (not your pet or your favorite landscape) to recognize you.

2.       If any of the activities fits your schedule or your location, you can suggest an activity.

3.       Remember to book (RSVP), whether YES or NO. And arrive early or on time.

4.       While the group is Latino, all live in the U.S., so please keep the negative comments about this country and its people to other venues.
