About:

Ignite is a fast-paced presentation style that gives you the opportunity to share lessons learned with a room full of drunk entrepreneurs. But there's a catch: your presentation is limited to exactly five minutes and twenty slides - and those slides advance automatically every 15 seconds. Like running a startup, giving an Ignite presentation is a harrowing experience that feels great to have done and garners you lots of admirers.

Ignite: Lean Startup is sponsored by the NYC Lean Startup Meetup and is generously hosted by Pivotal Labs.

Featuring: Top-Shelf Open Bar, Sandwiches, DJ and more. Professional bartenders Tom Richter and Brandon Bramhall will be on hand to serve up some incredible cocktails.

Speakers:

> "180 Days From Conception"

    Alex Weinberg, Co-Founder, SnappSchool

> "Noob: Adventures of a First-Time Lean Founder"

    Brandon Root, Founder, Friendzy

> "The Lost Lessons of The Lean Startup"

    Brian Sowards, Co-Founder, GiftSquid

> "Lessons Learned…the 2nd Time Around"

Deirdre Lord, Co-Founder & President, The Megawatt Hour,          Inc.

> "Excuses, Excuses, Excuses"

Giff Constable, NYC Lean Startup Meetup

> "Lean Networking: How to Build Not Burn Relationship Capital"

Jacob Brody, Head of Business & Community Development,          MESA

> "Replacing Requirements with Hypotheses"

Josh Seiden, Program Director, LUXr NYC

> "Building FourSquare ≠ Building Google: The New Social             Application Paradigm"

Lee Hoffman, Co-Founder & CEO, Veri

> "How to Get Out of the Building Without Taking the Building       With You"

    Michele Tepper, Interaction Design Expert

> "So Lean We're Considered Too Skinny"

    Noah Kagan, Chief Sumo, AppSumo

> "Pricing a Product or Service That's Never Been Priced Before"

Rachael Chong, Founder & CEO, Catchafire

Loved it overall, I see the benefits of the quick paced presentation style but don't like how it eliminates the spontaneity from presentations. Minor issue, great event. Learned a ton and met many amazing entrepreneurs.

Generally good presentations, though some of the presenters were a bit "green" to be talking to a room full of deeply experienced people.

Awesome presentations. Especially the one with the chemist dog.

Better than spending a night in reading The Lean Startup... don't do that. Well, maybe if this isn't going on.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
