This Meet Up is for those young and young at heart and older who want to learn to ice skate and have fun.
If you have a child that wants to learn to skate or, you've always wanted to or, it's been years and you are a little apprenhensive....this is the group for you.
You will learn to skate for fun or competitively. We will learn in a group or, a private lesson if you wish. Afterwards, we can meet at a local coffee shop to warm up and then see where it takes us. There is a local bowling alley...other meet ups at Roxies for live music, Happy Hour at The Cove.
The world is our oyster and it's a New Year! Let's make it a fun & exciting one filled with fun, laughs, sporting challenges & new friends!
A little about me the Organizer:
I grew up in Southern California skating competitively. Thanks to my parents support and professional coaching, I excelled quickly. I competed and won medals and later went on to skate professionally in shows with headliners such as, Dorothy Hamill, Scott Hamilton, and Randy Gardner & Tai Babalonia. I toured and performed in shows that allowed me to travel to exotic places such as Sun City South Africa, Hawaii and Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.
The sport was wonderful in teaching me focus, confidence, discipline and tenacity. I still love the sport and now love to help kids and adults to achieve their personal goals, whether it is to just learn to skate for the fun of it at any age or, to train to compete.
Please join me at Glacier Ice & Snow Arena for either private lessons, the skating school curriculum in which I also teach group lessons as well as, parties & birthday parties. I teach all ages, from 3 to adults!
Public Session Schedule for Private Lessons with me are as follows:
Tue-Fri 1:40pm-4:00pm
Tue night 6:40pm-8:10pm
Wed night 6:00pm-7:30pm
I have other times for private lessons during the rink’s skating club ice time, for those that already know how to skate . Please contact me for those times.
Please contact me by email to request: lessons either private or group or, to schedule a “learn to skate” party.
Come have fun! See U on the ice!
Warmest regards,
Wendy Baker~
