Group Policies

This group is a safe place for young members and newly 'out' people to find a group of friends that they can look up to and feel safe to be themselves around. This is NOT a hook-up or date-finding club and harassment or badgering of any member by any other member will not be tolerated. If you are looking for hookups, go somewhere else. If people find dates or closer friendships while participating in the group, that is great, however people joining this group are generally looking for a nice, safe, pressure-free place to have fun and make new friends.

It is incouraged that members regularly show up after RSVPing for an event. It is extremely rude to the hosts and to the other members to say you are going to be coming, and then not show up. We make plans and sometimes spend money based on the number of people signed up for an event, so no-shows complicate plans and caused wasted resources. Life happens, so we aren't worried about a single incident, but please do not make it a habbit. Please be responsible and update your RSVP as soon as you know your plans have changed.

Members that are inactive (haven't even logged into the group) for 10 or more months are subject to deletion. This is an active group of active friends; members that have been deleted due to inactivity are free to re-join the club whenever they are ready to become more active in the group.

We are always happy to have our members host events of their own. If you are going somewhere or doing something and wouldn't mind having some LGBT friends come along, please feel free to post your event under the "Suggested Meetups" section of the homepage. If 3 or more people decide to join you, the event automatically becomes a Meetup. All you need to do is tell people how to find you, send out a contact cell number to those that are attending, and make some new friends.

The group's mailing list is generally only for official event announcements and important news items related to the LGBT community. Personal announcements such as ridesharing, apartments, stuff for sale, etc., should go in the discussion forum.

Most events will be scheduled in the South Bay area from Mountain View, to Milpitas, to Morgan Hill. Occasionally an event will be hosted outside of this area, but this area is our primary focus. Most of our members are also in this area, but we have members as far away as San Mateo, Hayward, and Gilroy and even further.
