Locksport International - Los Angeles, CA Meetup

Learn about physical security, locks, and locking mechanisms. This month's topic is ASSA pin-tumbler and sidebar locks. After last month's laid back meeting we'll have another technical meeting that talks about some high security designs from the Swedish company ASSA (now part of ASSA-Abloy, biggest lock manufacturer by sales worldwide). They have fairly simply designs but pretty fantastic security. Beginner info and all that is, as always, available before and after.

Impressioning contest continues into month 7, open some more locks to get ahead!

Hope to see you all on Friday,

First meeting. I have nothing to bring. Is that okay. I have seen practice locks on eBay but want to talk to someone who know before I do anything

Hi Jim. Welcome to the group. You don't need to bring anything. We will have practice locks and a few tools to try out, before you start buying stuff. And there will be lots of people to talk to. :)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
