Learn about physical security, locks, and locking mechanisms. This month's topic is FORENSIC LOCKSMITHING. This is a very special event with a guest speaker: Tom Seroogy! Tom is a former forensic locksmith, specializing in automotive mechanical and electronic security systems. He is a former president of the International Association of Investigative Locksmiths, former technical adviser member for the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners, and a long-time instructor for the Society of Professional Locksmiths and Associated Locksmiths of America.

This month's meeting will be a brief survey of the responsibilities and tasks involved in forensic locksmithing. This includes a definition of "forensic locksmithing," a presentation of the tasks involved in examining a lock, and an understanding of class and individual characteristics unique to the bypass of mechanical locks. All attendees can partake in a hands-on workshop focusing on the disassembly and microscopic examination of picked locks.

We will also discuss our upcoming 2015 group competition!

See you all there!
