Learn about physical security, locks, and locking mechanisms. This month's topic is combination safe manipulation. We'll go over the basic types of combination lock mechanisms and how they are manipulated open using no tools. There will be some practice & cutaway safe locks available to get familiar with how they work. This is a good meeting to attend if you need help in the 2012 Safe Manipulation Competition (starting in Jan 2012)!

I'll also be bringing an extremely rare and expensive French lock by Fichet which has a very interesting locking mechanism and key. I might bring more French locks, depending on how full my case is from the safe equipment.
