Locksport International - Los Angeles, CA Meetup

Details
Learn about physical security, locks, and locking mechanisms. This month's topic is "Making Your Own Picks!" There's a lot of great commercial products, but nothing beats making tools that are hand-tailored to what you want. There will be a workshop on making common pick designs. If you don't want to share, please bring a set of diamond files (or the Harbor Freight $1 equivalent), sandpaper, and any materials you want to make tools out of. Street sweeper bristles, windshield wiper blades, and hacksaw blades are great sources of pick material. I will provide bristles for those that need something, but please try to bring files and sandpaper!
I'll also bring my collection of home made picks. This features a variety of styles and designs from homebrewers around the world.
Safecracking continues into month 9, many people have tried, few have had the patience to get close to cracking a safe, and only one has succeeded, thus far! If you need help, motivation, or a light bit of trolling please just ask.
I will also be doing some more impressioning practice later in the evening, for those who want to continue practicing that.
See you all on the 21st!
Thanks,
datagram
