This Thursday through Saturday, August 21-23, the Libertarian Parties of Clark and Floyd counties will operate an LP Booth at the Sellersburg Celebrates festival. We will share our message of freedom and liberty.
Visitors to the booth will be given the World's Smallest Political Quiz. We will have Libertarian-related flyers and brochures to hand out. Most importantly, we will be promoting our candidates for public office, both state and local candidates. Voters need to know
that there is another alternate to the two big government parties.
Both the Democrats and Republicans will be operating their own booths. The Constitution Party has had a booth there in the past, but they have not been there in several years.
While these other parties will be touting and promoting their particular brand of more government, we will be representing the small government alternative. Our goal is to spread our message of freedom and to identify those who are libertarians but don't know it.
On Thursday and Friday the booth will operate from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM. On Saturday the booth will begin at 12:00 PM and run until 10:00 PM. Saturday will be our main day as the festival receives its largest turnout that day.
To get to Sellersburg Celebrates, take I-65 to Exit 9 and head east into Sellersburg. Go past the Arby's and turn right on Utica Street. Follow the numerous signs that will direct you to the festival. Basically you drive down a ways and turn left onto Service Drive. This road takes you into the park where the festivities are being held.
Bring the family out for a day at the festival, as there will be a midway with rides and a stage for various entertainment, along with the many various vendor booths.
Sellersburg Celebrates has a website.
Yours in liberty,
