An Evening with Libertarian Presidential Candidate Jim Burns

Details

Come out and meet Libertarian Presidential Candidate Jim Burns. In 1974 Jim Burns legally changed his middle name to "Libertarian." His name appeared on the ballot as "Burns, James Libertarian." Jim has had a number of years of experience in the Libertarian Party. Jim has run for office and served as the chair of the LP of Nevada.

Jim is not just a philosophical Libertarian, but has put the principles of Liberty into practice, and paid the price. In the 1980s he fought the IRS, he almost got it right, but not quite. On January 18, 1980, He was convicted of failure to file income tax returns. He served 9 months in jail. As you can imagine, the IRS and Jim did not get along well in the 1980's — in fact, not until about 1992. Since then, they pretty much leave each other alone.

Jim Burns is a great American and a great Libertarian. Do not miss this opportunity to meet Jim Burns – a Libertarian for President.
