Austin Linux August Meetup

We'll finish up on the customized build of Apache, MySQL and PHP. We didn't have time to finish last month, and Mangia has been graceful enough to have us back. We'll be in a dedicated meeting room with HD screen. Please come out and enjoy the presentation, the food & atmosphere, and the fellowship. It's very nice.

This will be my first meet... Wish I was there for the custom build last time. Does anyone have notes from it or config details for the build? Thx

I have no idea what customized builds of Apache, MySQL and PHP, are. Maybe someone could explain that to me. I am a linux newbie. Have it partitioned on half my hard drive but barely know how to use it.

Very insightful presentation. I like how several people chimed in with possible solutions to one guy's challenging question. Look forward to next time.

The meeting was well run and prepared. It's too bad that the Mangia router couldn't be accessed, but most of the activity didn't need it. Being minimally acquainted with Linux and not knowledgeable at all about Apache, MySQL and PHP, the subject was foreign to me, especially since it was part 3 of 3. The last is of no matter since this was the 1st meetup that I could attend.

much better venue than before. The content of this meeting was only moderately interesting to me, I expect future meetings to be even more interesting
