Calling San Francisco's small rescue dogs for a meetup on the first Saturday of each month at 11:30 am in Pine Lake Dog Park in Stern Grove.

If you have a small rescue dog and want to meet other rescues and their parents, please join us for off-leash play and schmoozing.

Don't worry if your dog is quirky; ours are, too!

RUFF co-organizer Shannon Bolt of The Domestic Animal has worked with shelter and rescue dogs for years. She specializes in special-needs animals and will be on hand for advice and assistance.

All rescue dogs who weigh less than 25 pounds — the mutt-ier, the better; but we won't discriminate against purebreds — and their adult people (this is NOT the place for children; many small dogs, especially those with issues, are afraid of kids) are welcome. Please remember to give all the dogs their "space" and ask before giving treats. We'll have a great time!

We socialize in one of the grassy areas west of the parking lot for 30–40 minutes (look for the RUFF sign), then we take a group walk around the park, so if you come very late, you'll have to chase us!
