Waterloo Air Show takes place June 3 at the Region of Waterloo International Airport. Highlighting the show will be spectacular displays by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Canada’s CF-18 fighter jet, daring aerobatics, warbirds and more.

This family event is complemented by a static display – additional aircraft parked for the weekend allowing people to see them up close, take photos, and speak to the pilots.

There will be additional displays, vendors, a kids amusement area, interactive family activities, performer autographs, food and a beer garden.

Bring your chairs and cameras out to the Region of Waterloo International Airport June 3

Gates will be open from 10am to 5pm. Air Show Insiders get in at 9am! (become an Air Show Insider by signing up on our home page).
The air show begins at 1pm, and runs until approximately 4pm.

New for 2012 - FREE Parking! Parking is free and on airport property this year. Please note, we're using parking lots to the east which require a mimimum 1/2 km walk to the show site.
Handicap parking: vehicles with handicap parking permits may enter at the airport's main entrance, off Fountain Street.

Come early! Traffic will peak around the airport significantly after 11am, so join us early to enjoy the Static Display, get up close to aircraft, talk to pilots, play kid-friendly activities and lock-in your spot on the viewing field.

For your viewing pleasure we recommend blankets or folding chairs to sit on. The majority of the viewing area is grass, while the Static Display and Expo area are on asphalt – but you'll be walking through that area anyway.
Sunscreen, glasses, hats and WATER are essential as there is limited shade. (The FREE water truck will return in 2012!)
Picnics ARE permitted, but no hard coolers or alcohol are permitted.

All backpacks and bags are subject to inspection at the entrance gate.

The Waterloo Air Show is a non-smoking event as per Canadian Aviation Regulations.
A little inclement weather will not necessarily cancel the air show. In the event of very inclement weather, please listen to 570 News or CHYM-FM for air show updates, or visit our Facebook page or Twitter feed.
No pets allowed.

TIP: It would be best to treat the event as a cash-only event (although there will be bank machines on site)
