Las Virgenes Adventure Hike (and Cheeseboro Too)

This hike will include a cross-country trek over the western ridge of Upper Las Virgenes Canyon and to the Baleen Wall in Cheeseboro Canyon. We'll hike along forgotten and overgrown ranch roads and use trails.

If you click on and look closely at the picture above you will see the remnants of a gate. At one time 3 unpaved roads met here. Besides our group no one has been here in possibly decades!

This is a strenuous hike and will go for about 9 miles. This is an "Adventure Hike." Be prepared to walk through brush and grass, maybe some minor bushwhacking, back-tracking, meandering, etc.

Directions to trailhead:

Trailhead is at the northern end of Las Virgenes Rd. From the 101 take the Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon exit and head north 1.4 miles away from ocean.
