Las Virgenes to Shepherd's Flat (Loop Hike)

Please join a beautiful moderate hike in Upper Las Virgenes Preserve and Cheeseboro Canyon!

Hike Length: between 8 and 9 miles Elevation gain:about 1,000 ft.

We will start at the northern end of Las Virgenes Rd and traverse a ridge trail past the Baleen Wall to Shepherd's flat and then turn east along a beautiful less traveled trail back to the Las Virgenes trail. Map

Bring water and snacks. We may even enjoy some nice lunch break at the picnic table toward the end Directions: To get to trailhead take 101 and exit Las Virgenes Rd. Turn north (away from beach) to end of road. If you are coming up from PCH, drive up Malibu Canyon to the end (Malibu Cyn changes its name to Las Virgenes Rd). The trailhead is marked clearly. Park on the street.
