Santa Ynez Canyon Loop (Topanga)

Santa Ynez Canyon features chilly mountain pools, several beautiful waterfalls, and slim sandstone cliffs set in a cool oasis of lush oak and sycamore forests.

We'll hook up with E Topanga Fireroad on a little known trail to make this a 7 mile loop. This will be a shorter, easier version of a 11-mile hike we did a few weeks ago (https://www.meetup.com/localhikers/events/55244182/). Net elevation gain is about 1000ft.

Directions to trailhead: From PCH: Take Sunset Bl north 0.5 mile to Palisades Dr. Follow Palisades Dr north for 2.4 miles to Ver de la Montura. Turn left for one long block. Signed trailhead will be on the right. Park on street.
