LoDo. The epicenter of dining, the arts and all things fun in Denver. The sounds of the pianos-on-the-mall, free shuttles incessantly honking at pedestrians, Robot Man shouting at passersby, outdoor concerts at Rock Bottom in the summer… All of it works together to create an amazing energy like nowhere else in the city!

For those of us who live, work or just enjoy spending time in the area, the challenge of finding entertainment, dining and spirits on a budget that won’t break the bank can be a daunting task. That’s where I’d like this group to come in. Exploring downtown and getting the absolute most bang for your buck.

One of my all-time favorite ways to do this is to scout out the best and most aggressive happy hours. Forget “a dollar off wines by the glass” and give me “half price wines by the glass”!!! Happy hours rule but there is so much more. Live music, comedy, theatre, festivals -- needless to say, the options are infinite.  So let’s help each other out and share our best hidden gems and ideas with everyone!

We’ll pretty much stick to stuff happening after 4 cuz that’s when most of us working-types are bailing outta the office. And I definitely plan on doing a fair share of weekend events as that’s when I see the fewest Meetups happening downtown. We also may venture out to Capital Hill and SOCO cuz those areas have their own fair share of cool stuff but for the most part, we’ll be LoDo-centric.
