DAYHIKERS: Henry Coe State Park, Vasquez Peak, ~15mi, 3000ft gain

Details

We will start at the Hunting Hollow parking lot of Henry Coe Park ($8 day use fee per car). We'll follow the creek for three miles. There will be several stream crossings which could be wet. Water shoes are good to bring. After three miles, we'll leave the creek and climb onto the ridge. Attaining the ridge, we'll drop into another canyon, then up onto another ridge, then on 'a la Coe' Park. After about seven miles, we'll be on Vasquez Peak, just in time for a meager lunch stuffed with expansive, though tasty views. We will return by the same route or a different route as time and will dictate. We will be back to our cars by late afternoon. Bring lunch and liquids for the day. CONTACT LEADERS DIRECTLY if you've not hiked with this group before now. SierraClub asks you to sign their usual liability waiver.

LEADERS: Bill Kirkpatrick, 408/244-7607; George Van Gorden, 408/779-2320, gvangorden@gmail.com
