The World's Second Biggest Sporting Event

Join us for this one off London Bloggers Meetup supported by LondonPrepares.com.

We'll be taking a look at some of the great things there are to do around the forthcoming games if you don't have a ticket to any of the sporting action.

We have three great speakers lined up for you and the agenda runs like this:

7.00pm - Arrive and meet your fellow bloggers

7.30pm - Presentations start:

Andy Wilkes - an ex-LOCOG employee and "BT Olympic Storyteller" he'll be talking about his experience of blogging from inside London 2012.

Jeremy Waite - a seasoned and passionate social media professional, Jeremy will talk about how he used his blog to get a book deal and change his world.

Noah Manly - the partnerships manager at LondonPrepares, Noah will give you an overview of what else is happening while the games are on.

8.00pm - Q&A

8.15pm - Test the Mizuno Sports Challenges

8:45pm - Shoot to the pub next door!

The centre has three olympic theme sports challenges for you to enjoy:

* 20m sprint track, test your speed against one other

* Football scoring challenge - testing speed and accuracy

* Handball challenge - testing speed and agility

Of course all this and the usual networking with your fellow bloggers.

It looks like we'll be having some free drinks too, so sign up now to save your place.

The venue is being built in the CentrePoint building by Mizuno just for the games and you won't get another chance to visit.

Amazing, well above and beyond what I expected. I'm new to blogging and learning to write an ebook on a marketing subject; so I just popped along to see if I could learn anything about building web landing/squeeze pages for free - as mine is in need of surgery.

I thought it would be just people stood in a room with a few little speeches at in the corner of the room.

The presentations were excellent; and Bernie's quips are as funny as imagining watching Peter Key trying to get on an resisting lilo. Astoundingly, Jerry is the only person to notice the names on my black Tshirt are the band members of the Stone Roses since I've worn it in London.

And finally - The Senna and Rivaldo boots were a thrill to see too.

You may remember me handing out Summer Like no other brochures last night and talking to you about free Mayor of London presents taking place throughout the summer. I have one ticket to go to BT London Live (http://www.btlondonlive.com/) on Monday afternoon (from 2pm) with the web team (we're a nice, friendly bunch!). Drop me an email if you'd like to come along [masked]
