Pogo's Non-Alliterative Vegusto Breakfast

This weekend is basically Vegusto weekend at Pogo.

So as well as the alluringly alliterative Pogo! Pizza! Party!, we'll be going for a completely non-alliterative Vegusto breakfast...

Yes, it's the same day. So you might want a brisk walk between the two if you plan to do both!

"Vegusto items will be available at a discounted rate on the day too so you may want to stock up on cheeses/sausages!"

Here's the draft menu...

  • Homemade baked beans
  • Root beer mushrooms
  • Farmhouse sausage
  • Volcanic scramble
  • Griddled peppers
  • Caramelised onions
  • Spiced brown hash
  • Seeded slices

Served with a refreshing cup of salad and some sauces (£7).

We (me, Brian and Lilyana) really enjoyed it. ALthough I didn't think much of the sausage (it looked and smelt and tasted too much like the real thing-you know what I mean, I'm sure a recent vegan convert would've loved it though), everything else tasted and looked fabulous and the price was good. Lovely and relaxed place, I wanted to stay all day! Brilliant. :)

I thought the sausage was very, very nice, I noted with Robb that it is the same one that is served at Inspiral Lounge :)

    Hi all,

I hope everybody that came along enjoyed the breakfast? We normally have cooked breakfasts (devil) and a full on health-binge (angel) on Sundays, but we put the effort into doing it for both days on the Vegusto weekend. If you've got an feedback please drop it through to [masked] - it'll help us (the volunteer collective) get better at... well... everything!

Robb, everybody, I would like to apologize for not having gone this morning. I am a disaster: I was completely sure that it was tomorrow, and when I have just seen it was today (after a whole day without Internet) I felt quite bad because I was really looking forward to going and because somebody else could have gone in my place. Robb, unless I would like to pay what I should have done this morning. Please, tell me how can I do it. I am very sorry. I hope you all had a lot of fun and that you don´t put me in a black list.
