One of the biggest monthly social events on the planet finds a new home in one of most vegan-friendly stores in the country.

Welcome to London Vegan Drinks at Whole Foods Market Kensington.

London Vegan Drinks has grown since its inception in 2011 to become one of the most popular and loved vegan social events anywhere in the world. On the third Thursday of every month, more than 100 vegans and their friends gather to drink, eat and meet without meat.

Whole Foods Market is the perfect place for this event. An extensive range of vegan alcohol at reasonable prices and a piping hot oven churning out plant-based pizzas will keep revellers satisfied as they take in the night time lights of Kensington High Street from the gorgeous ‘Room With A View’. This exclusive space on the first floor is highly sought after and is the ideal place to mingle, refresh and enjoy.

How does London Vegan Drinks work?

You show up. You buy drinks. You buy food if you are hungry. You socialise. It is so simple, yet so effective. There is no cover charge and you are free to spend as much or as little money as you choose.

You can purchase food in any of the departments throughout Whole Foods Market as well as the award-winning vegan restaurant Saf. The upstairs Whole Foods bar is stocked with a wide range of vegan beers and wine that can be carried through to our gorgeous meeting room.

Where is the venue?

Whole Foods Market is housed in the historic Barker Building at 63-97 Kensington High Street, W8 5SE. The Room With A View is on the first floor, the same level as the bar, food court and restaurants. The function room is located at the front of the building, overlooking the High Street.

It is a three minute walk from High Street Kensington Underground station (turn right out of station). This Tube station is serviced by the Circle and District lines.

Buses travel from all over London and pass right by the front door of Whole Foods Market. Below is simple table showing the major bus routes and their destinations. Click here for a pdf of all the routes that pass through Kensington.

Thank you Sean and Co for a fab night.
Sorry about the mess we all left you with.
I hope I'm not alone in saying I will try to be a better guest at Wholefoods next month.
It's so nice of them to let us use the space.
Grotto was a hoot. (Owl joke for Helen.) :-)

    Hi.
If anyone has lost a black scarf at the event tonight, I will be bringing it along to pot luck on Dec 4th.

I'm really gutted, but due to too much work, I just wont be able to go. I will be working late, and have an early tomorrow for my sins. I will have to meet you all at the next thing I go to.

    Many thanks,

    Anna

If anyone is considering going to Saf before or during London Vegan Drinks for food, I have just written a review of their new menu:
    http://tinyurl.com/qgyda9p

Also, they are doing 2-4-1 cocktails at Saf for the entire month of November!

    1 · November 20, 2013

    • Robb

Mmm... I do like their 2-4-1 cocktails. :-) But so that no-one else makes the same mistake that we did, their 2-4-1 offer normally only applies to two of the *same* cocktail!

    • Monika

A cocktail buddy?...though not sure if it's a good idea mixing drinks.

This month is going to be a LOT of fun. Our room is set up as Santa's grotto and they are going to leave it like that for us. Hilarious!

Also, wine distribution company Vintage Roots are coming along to do free wine sampling. Organic and vegan wine!

The sampling will start at 6pm and run until 8:30pm so arrive early!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
