Tonight's Linux/OSS meetup: Icecast streaming, etc.

John H.
Group Organizer
Louisville, KY
Hope to see you all tonight at 7 p.m. the St. Matthews/Eline Library.

It'll be a typical show-and-tell bull session. The library has wi-fi so bring your laptop.

I've been working lately on getting an Icecast streaming server up and running in conjunction with our low-power FM radio project. I'll be happy to talk and demonstrate.

Also, Mark McKinley, who is also working with the radio project, said he will bring his new Alesis MultiMix 8 sound board which plugs into the USB port of his laptop to produce a portable radio studio. If all goes well, we'll stream the meeting!

(If you don't get to the meeting, try opening in Winamp sometime around 8 p.m. Or check for updates.)
