How to Speak at a Conference

Details
Have you ever thought about giving a talk at the user group or at a conference but weren't sure what to talk about? Weren't sure how to format your slides? Weren't sure where to even start?
There are several Call for Papers currently open, so we thought we would have a talk/workshop to help people prepare their proposals (or for a user group talk or even other conferences, that's fine too).
Beth Tucker Long, who has spoken over 30 times in the last few years at various conferences around the world, will give you some tips for finding a topic, creating your talk, and engaging your audience. After the talk, she will be on-hand to work with you to develop your talk ideas, write your abstract, and if you'd like, help you submit to an open Call for Papers.
And if you can't attend the meeting but would still like some help, just let us know!
Note: We will be in Room 123 at Herzing University.
