What is your background in web design? Just a few sentences.

Basically been involved in Web design and development since the beginning... of the Web that is. My main focus for many years has been on geospatial applications. But I've done a lot of "traditional" Web and CMS (Joomla) work as well.

Do you do web programming? If so, which languages? (I.e., ASP, Java, PHP, Rails, Python, ColdFusion, etc.)

Yeah, but I wouldn't call myself a hard-core developer. Most recent experience is in PHP. Some Javascript, interested in Ruby on Rails.

A GIF leaves Long Island at 2 p.m. heading south at 72DPI, while a TIF leaves Philadelphia at 3 p.m. heading north at 300 DPI. Given their resolutions, what time will they collide?

What, what? Sorry, I was watching the PNG that left Boston at 1:30.

Introduction

For most of my career, I have bridged the worlds of "traditional" IT and the specialized area of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I consider myself to be a solutions architect skilled in using GIS and Web technologies to solve complex problems.
