It's free, and open to all designers and developers, especially those interested in PHP and e-commerce, and Magento of course!

What is a hackathon?

The purpose of the hackathon is to provide a fun, community environment to learn and practice Magento development and design by pitching ideas - forming teams - building a prototype of a hack and/or a design - and sharing the results.

What's the theme?

This year's theme is "Simplicity." Build an extension to take something complicated and make it simple. Projects can be submitted in one of these 3 tracks:

• Simplicity in user experience / design
• Simplicity in workflow / process
• Simplicity in code
