What we’re about
The Philadelphia Main Line Ukulele Group is one of the largest and most active ukulele groups in the country. Established in 2011 we have grown to over 800 members strong and have provided our members with, on average 20 opportunities per month to play ukulele in a group setting.
We have weekly jam sessions at multiple locations in the tri-state area and monthly jam sessions at our flagship locations, Steel City Coffee House, Green Fork Restaurant and Main Stage Center for the Arts. We also offer other opportunities each and every week to get together and jam with fellow ukulele players. The Philadelphia Main Line Ukulele Group also holds four "Premier Events" each year. Our Premier Events give members the opportunity to play in a festival like setting with, on average over 50 players all sharing the love that only the ukulele can bring!
Our group caters to beginners so if you're new to the uke please come to one of our events and let us help you start your journey. We play a wide variety of music from old standards from the 20's and 30's, Hawaiian Music, Classic Rock, Folk, Modern Pop, Country, Punk, Reggae and anything and everything else!
Hope to see you soon!

- West Chester Ukulele EnsembleThe Hickman Jeanes Building, West Chester, PA
We’re a group of enthusiastic ukulele players learning ensemble pieces together to create our own ukulele orchestra. The ensemble parts can be played by folks with a range of ukulele playing ability. Join us!
For now we are meeting every other week - watch this space to know when! The materials we're using (plus a whole bunch of "bonus" materials) are generally available for viewing and downloading on our GoogleDrive page.
We have been getting The Skye Boat Song into shape with Betty in preparation for performing it together with the WC Ukulele Group at West Chester's Porchfest. We will not work on this song at this session.
Instead, we will spend some time with Ralph and Arnold looking at arrangements for the future. Ralph has uploaded to the Ensemble folder 3 new arrangements: Canon (the one Arnold emailed previously), Blue Boat Home (Hyfrydol), and Rainbow Connection. These latter two were ones that Ralph translated into Musescore and PDF. Please take a look at these before the meeting so we can discuss them.
Please try to arrive about 5 minutes before the starting time to set up and tune up so we can get started right away. We will be happy for you to join us whenever you are able get there.
Stay afterwards to join the regular West Chester Ukulele Group in the same location. RSVP to both events so we know the number of chairs and songsheets to have ready. We really like to know that YOU are coming!
