Behavior Driven Testing for Multichannel Enterprise Applications with Sudeep Somani
These days all the enterprises are trying to reach out to end consumers through multiple channels so that they can reach out masses. By multiple channels we mean mobile, tablets, web etc. Though irrespective of the channel used by the consumer, the user behavior remains the same in each case. For example a user can buy grocery from a retailer website, S/he can do the same by mobile web, iphone or an android app of the retailer through his phone, but in all cases user behavior remains the same i.e. S/he buys grocery.
In this talk we will discuss about how behavior driven tools comes handy when we test such multichannel enterprise applications. How they can be used to define user behaviors at a single place and can be reused across multiple channels. We will also give a live demo to support our talk. In the live demo we will showcase how we can run same user behavior (defined in cucumber) across multiple channels (iphone, andriod, web apps).
